Normal in intestine: Klebsiella is a normal bacteria in the intestine; many people carry it all the time. When people get infections from Klebsiella -- such as urinary tract infection or pneumonia -- it's usually from the normal bacteria already in their intestines. It does not alter personality of behavior.

Person to person: Usually healthy people don’t get Klebsiella infections. Person to person transmission may occur.
