Question dermatologists on keloid scar: nhs dermatologist in uk said i can only have 2 injections per year of 0.1ml 10mg/ml intralesional triamcinolone in shoulder due to side effect of diabetes. i get terrible itching is it safe to have more than 2?

Corticosteroids: Intralesional corticosteroid injections in large doses can have the same side effects as taking oral doses steadily, but with smaller doses injected, you should be able to tolerate injections every 6-8 weeks if needed. You can always monitor your blood sugar if you have concerns.
