A member asked:

My son has a rash that resembles goosebumps, appears everywhere, itches, flares up when he's active outside & disappears once he's indoors. he's been to his drop-in centre who diagnosed an allery but will be now need to see a dermatologist for tests?

Doctor can examine: Bumps and spots can be from many causes, such as: hives, viral infections, other infections (impetigo), medication causes, hot-tub rashes, heat rashes, reactions to creams or lotions, allergic reactions to various things (poison oak, allergenic foods), etc... An in-person exam is best but a video exam with a good camera can suffice. Goosebump type "follicular" rashes in children may be eczema.
