A member asked:

Good day i have keloids in my chest? can a dermatologist remove them? or how best should i remove them?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Keloids: Keloids represent skin that did not know enough to stop healing. In general, keloids should not be cut, unless they are pedunculated (hanging), as the cutting will only make the process worse. Keloids are generally treated by using topical corticosteroids and/or injecting the corticosteroids. It may take months or even years to bring the condition under control.
