Laryngitis: Inflammation of the larynx (throat). This can be viral, as in severe flu. It can also be bacterial like in Strep throat. If it doesn't begin to resolve in 5-10 days, consult with your dr. In the meantime, drink plenty of fluids and get adequate rest. Over the counter flu/cold medications may be helpful
