Infection: Some type of infection. Strep throat among many other things. Should be seen and evaluated.

Infection: May well be a viral infection which should resolve with comfort care, heat, OTC pain medicines, but if symptoms persist, or you develop more severe symptoms such as yellow mucous, bloody mucous high fever then you should seek immediate medical attention!
