Urticaria: The causes of acute urticaria often are identified but in many cases the cause is elusive. Some causes are probably internal, however Sore breasts are hormone related but urticaria caused by these same hormones would be speculative.Estrogen stimulates mast cells to produce more histamine so that hives could be worse during the first phase of the menstrual cycle when estrogen levels are highes
