(I used to practice in Cupertino.) As long as ovaries remain, cycles without menstruation will continue. I have no explanation for prolonged duration of "PMS" but understand why a gynecologist would preserve ovarian function at age 31. I would advise discussion of your hysterectomy with the surgeon--many facts are unavailable to me
