Started taking amoxicillin 500mg every 6 hrs for toothache yesterday as dentist called in prescription. dentist is closed for holidays. but i'm in pain and slight cheek swelling. should i go another dentist tomorrow to be seen? or wait until monday.

See below : I’m sorry to hear that, you’ll could get an off the counter pain med like ibuprofen, but i strongly recommend you go to see your dentist ASAP

Yes.: Your tooth needs attention ASAP. Find a dentist who can see you on an emergency basis. Continue your antibiotics, take pain medication, & keep your mouth immaculately clean. Stay on a softer food, nothing very hot or very cold. Eat on the opposite side of the bad tooth. Cold compresses from out side over the cheek swelling would help keeping swelling in check.
