A member asked:

Just realized on nov. 28th at the er it said d-dimer level was 0.98. er doctor never told me and now its dec. 26th and ive seen doctor but she never had these results. er did a ct-scan and it showed everything looked normal. should i be concerned?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, if the result for D-dimer was in usual units, it was not abnormal.
