Otolaryngologist: Viral infections are not eradicated by antibiotics. I recommend consulting an Otolaryngologist for evaluation and advice. Appropriate testing, including cultures, blood work and mononucleosis tests, will be done.There is no point in taking more antibiotics in the meantime. Malignancy would be highly unlikely.
