A member asked:

Can hiv virus be undetectable for years? is 2 years after exposure, an enough period to be detectable by tests?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No. Yes.: No, HIV virus does not stay undetectable for years. Yes, two years after exposure is plenty of time for detection tests to be positive if the person caught HIV. If negative, no worries unless said person is continuing to engage in activities with known HIV-infected partners.
