Few hours ago, i slept with a women whom im not sure of, if she's hiv+ or-, i wont risk my health. is there a flushing drug that i can use for a short period to get the virus if any out of my system. i don't want the 28days pep, it's too long.

PEP to prevent HIV: No such treatment exists. The best strategy would be to start post-exposure prophylaxis and ask your partner to be tested right away for HIV. If negative, you can safely stop PEP as soon as the result is known. If positive, you should continue the PEP. Good luck.

Hi Doctors My friend took PEP medication for about 28 days when he had had sex with someone suspected to be HIV positive. May I ask if is there any other medication available like PEP but can be taken for a shorter period of time compared to 28days?
As I understand Hiv algorithm,the people sick with hiv for 2 weeks they will be positive because antibodies will produce to react the virus. If no symtoms then you need to test at window period to be sure,at the end just follow the window period?
