Overuse: Most of these cramps come from overuse of muscles or tendon strain. Drink lots of liquids, use electrolyte solutions and try whirlpools, massage of affected muscles. Also check your shoes and/or orthotics if you plan to do strenuous walking on a regular basis. These are often overlooked areas that can mean a lot.
