Cramping, especially the calf, is common. Med for high cholesterol, some blood pressure medications or low volume may trigger cramping. Magnesium supplement, 200 mg at bedtime, may be helpful. Tricks to relieve cramp: get out of the bed if you can, standing up, raise the opposite arm up as far as possible or walking backward if you are able to or press hard the point between nose and upper lip.
