Worsening ?: Your post did not list the age of the kid,the symptoms involved or why you consider this worse. It may take at least 24 hrs before any treatment will alter the presenting symptoms of such an infection. If you are spooked by the issue get a 2nd opinion. This is one of the most common infections in kids & easily assessed & treated by primary care docs.
