A member asked:

Tiny red raised smooth oval bump on neck. could this be a mole? i've had it for ages and hasn't changed. i'm just wondering what it could be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doctor can evaluate: Skin bumps are very difficult to describe in words, so an exam by a primary care doctor or a dermatologist is helpful when a bump is present. Sometimes long-term bumps are moles, skin tags, little skin cysts, comedones, molluscum, etc... If one cannot go to her doctor, then a video consultation (such as on HealthTap) with good lighting and camera quality may diagnose the bump.
