Depends on details: A fasting blood sugar level under 100 mg/dL (5.6 mmol/L) is usually normal. A level from 100 to 125 mg/dL (5.6 to 6.9 mmol/L) is usually prediabetes. If it's 126 mg/dL (7 mmol/L) or higher on two test dates, it's usually diabetes. An anytime hemoglobin A1c level of 6.5% or more on two test dates is usually diabetes. An A1c between 5.7% and 6.4% is usually prediabetes. Below 5.7% is usually normal.
