In theory, yes,: But the body as a whole is an amazingly complex system of interrelated feedback mechanisms all influencing each other simultaneously to achieve relative stability. At this time and for 20+ years into the future, we don't have enough intimate knowlege to replace all of the input that an isolated head needs, which is way beyond enough blood and oxygen.
