I took my 6 weeks baby to a gp yesterday & he prescribed paracetamol 1.5 tds ;allergex 1.5 bd & amoxycillin 1.5 tds will the cough, blocked nose, no appetite get better? shes too sleepy and that worries me. or can i give her multivitamin as well?

Odd treatments: A 6 wk old gets a cough or congested from exposure to dust, fragrances or smoke. Their little noses struggle with such irritants. They need their nose washed with saline, not antihistamines or antibiotics. I would do none of that unless the doc was sure there was an infection & then we don't treat infected 6 wk old kids with oral meds.

Won't help: multivitamins aren't the point and of no value in this condition. If your baby isn't herself, not feeding well regardless of whether she has fever, at this age, she needs to be re-evaluated , best wishes
