A member asked:

What could cause the feeling of lump in throat without pain or burning?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doctor can examine: Throat symptoms can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies, irritants, stomach reflux, etc... Usually, a person sees her doctor if the throat symptoms are bothersome, recurrent, or don't go away quickly. An adult with a persistent "lump" sensation should have an in-person exam.
