Hi. i had a hiatus hernia 8 years ago that was repaired. i recently experienced heart burn again and have dark stool from today as well as well as a scratchy throat. should i go to the emergency room or make an appointment or see it through?

Heart burn : I wonder if that dark stool is blackened and you have bleeding from the stomach. If that is the case you should go to the emergency room. It's difficult to say that you can wait to see your doctor without more information. Dark stool can come from iron supplements but black tarry stools are from stomach or intestinal bleeding
