Can be normal: Infants new to the outside world can take a good month to get use to trying to pattern sleep/wake cycles outside the womb. I would not assume this pattern is a sign of anything bad. If the kid feeds well & interacts some, just give it time to sort this out. Check the temperature if/when you wish to be sure. It should never be >38 the 1st 2 months.

Sleep pattern : Most infants will develop a sleep pattern by the age of 6 months. Ensure that the baby is otherwise well, and please follow up with your Pediatrician.
