Not always: The most common heart serious heart diseases affecting adults (coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, etc.) typically develop in the 40s or beyond. However a small number of people are born with a heart problems - a congenital heart problem. Usually this is detected when they are a baby or very young, but sometimes only appear later in life. If unsure, visit your doctor.
