Should be fixable: The bowel problem in a spinal cord injury patient should be fixable. One's primary care doctor or gastroenterologist can figure it out or refer to doctors who specialize in this problem. There are many, many "spinal cord" patients, so there is expertise out there. Initially, probably a total clean-out is needed, even if done under anesthesia. Impaction should not be allowed to happen.
