Ive had cold symptoms, but not coughing, for the past 3 days. i hacked up, from the back of my throat thick yellow mucus with blood streaks in it- i didnt cough it up however. i got 4 canker sores around the same time my symptoms began. what is it?

Viral URI: A viral upper respiratory tract infection is likely and these usually resolve after a week or so. Treatment consists of resting and, drinking adequate fluids. Warm salt water gargles or suck on lozenges to sooth canker sores. The blood is from congestion of membranes in back of nasal passages.
