The phlegn: you describe ..yellowish with blood is often a sign of BRONCHITIS, a superficial infection of the tubes which carry air into your lungs. A culture of the sputum and/or a chest x ray may be indicated. Consult your PCP! Hope this is helpful! Dr Z
