Doctor can check: A pediatrician can take a look at a fresh poop in the diaper. The Dr. will want to know if the baby has been eating anything other than breast milk and will also want to know if the poop has changed in amount, odor, color, frequency, etc... Also, we worry more if a baby is fussy, weak, or not increasing weight. A main thing is to decide if the poop is truly diarrhea or normal-but-liquid baby poop.

Review : It is normal for a breastfed baby to have frequent stools. If there is weight loss, blood or mucus, please see your pediatrician.
