A member asked:

My tsh is .82, which my doctor says is fine, but all of my symptoms appear to be thyroid-related. are there other thyroid tests available? is it possible to still have a thyroid condition despite these results?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, but uncommon: Doctors do look at all the information, which includes the symptoms reported by the patient, the test results, and what's found on the exam. Just ask the doctor again, on the next visit. One can also get a second opinion to see if matches the current doctor's opinion. Other thyroid tests include T3 tests, T4 tests, TBG and anti-thyroid antibodies. An endocrinologist's opinion can help too.
