That's backwards: So, if both people have not had sexual contact with anybody else other than one another, THEN it did happen: the chlamydia resurfaced. Can't look at it the other way, unless both people got tested after completing treatment and got tested some time after that, and all tests came back negative. If retests were negative, then MAYBE one can say the chlamydia is new instead of resurfaced.
