Fibrocystic breasts : Fibrocystic breasts are common, and may obscure testing for breast cancer, but do not "cause" breast cancer. Reduction of estrogen availability can decrease extent of fibrocystic breast tissue, and oral bcp can stop ovarian production of estrogen (the bcp's have less estrogen than the ovaries manufacture. Ask your gyn physician, as you are not high risk at age 22 for breast cancer.
