Doctor can evaluate: A person in her early twenties with new nose or throat symptoms can just have her primary care doctor evaluate, and follow-up if recheck visits are needed. Nose and throat issues usually self-resolve. Young adults at that age seldom have bad chronic disorders, so no freaking out is necessary. Generally, one's doctor will signal if and when it is time to freak out.
