My wife has had a headache for the past 3 nights and the ibupain has not been helping, the headaches are there almost the whole day and on the left side oher head front to the back, she describes it as a stabbing pain and just tonight complained neck?

Doctor should check: Most people get a headache at some time, such as from colds, infections, lack of sleep, too much driving, long hours on the computer, stress at work, etc... Over-the-counter options include Tylenol, Motrin or Advil, Aleve, Excedrin and their generic brands. A bad or increasing headache, recurrent headache (like this case), weird headache, or with other worrisome symptoms should be examined.
