Yes: Nerve compression in the neck can also compress occipital nerves which cause headaches. Also mechanical neck pain, i.e arthritis can also cause headaches. Headaches from the neck are more common in the occipital region or area in the back of the head.

Possible : If you have muscle tension due to neck pain you could develop headache. But be careful of how much Advil (ibuprofen) you are taking for headache because too much pain med could cause chronic daily headache, I suggest that you talk to your PMD for a better evaluation and treatment of your headache.
