I have had dark brown mucus snot all day today. no other symptoms. any ideas what this could be from?

Snot: Nasal congestion usually the result of some type of allergy or rhinorrhea. Most common cause is viral from a rhinovirus, however could be bacterial. Your brown color is likely from some bleeding which is not uncommon for the nasal mucosa to bleed.
