If you ovulated on: 12/1 and had intercourse on 12/2, you might have conceived. However, with irregular periods, it's hard to know when, or if, you ovulated. High estrogen levels in the first half of the cycle can cause stringy or stretchy mucus. A small amount of vaginal blood can make the mucus look brown. It would be reasonable to check a pregnancy test on 12/16 or later. Dr. Anne.
