Can be: The choking mechanism in young infants is hyper vigilant (easy to trigger) as it protects the airway from any feeds entering. This pattern tends to mature/fade some as baby ages & feeding patterns stabilize. It can reflect active movement of feeds up the swallow tube (reflux) which is common in the young. Discuss the matter with your doc at the next visit.

Feeding consult: It may be helpful to have a lactation consultation and to have them ensure a safe swallowing mechanism. Hold the baby at an angle when feeding, burp the baby mid feed and after the feeding.
