I am pregnant and have recently been diagnosed with hiv,i started medication but i throw up about 4 times a day everyday,is that normal? sometimes 3 hours after drinking the meds,are they getting absorbed?

Treating HIV: It's always difficult to judge the cause of nausea and vomiting in pregnancy, since they are so common. Some medications may make it worse, althoug anti HIV drugs usually don't cause nausea. By 3 hours, the drugs are completely absorbed and will be effective against HIV. Discuss all this with your HIV doctor/clinic and/or your obstetrician. Good luck!
