Post longer question: About fevers... in minor illnesses like a cold, fevers go away by themselves. Most people use over-the-counter drugs like Tylenol, Motrin, or Advil for relief of such symptoms. If a person has had prior infections more than usual, or is looking sickly, he can check with his doctor. Each case is individually decided upon regarding any need for exams and lab tests. It's hard to predict one's future.

Using this site: You get the most from this site when you provide detailed information about a health issue followed by a clear related question. Room for a response is limited. In its present form your post is too vague to respond with anything more than a question. Congratulations, you have fever, so how much, how long, & what are your concerns? You are welcome to start over.

Post op fever: Low grade post-op fever is fairly common. The most common early post-op cause of fever is lung atelectasis (collapse of the tiny gas exchange sacs) which can be prevented by frequent deep inspiration and/or use of an incentive spirometer. Later causes of fever may include urinary tract infection, wound infection & deep vein thrombosis (blood clot). High fever warrants urgent evaluation.
