No worries: Many things are possible in life. The chances of catching brain-eating amoeba from tap water in the US is so unlikely that the answer is "no." If the water's chlorination or disinfection became inadequate, it's possible that Naegleria could survive in that water. We want the level of chlorination to remain high enough all the way to one's tap, as Naegleria cysts are somewhat resistant to chlorine.

Blood Brain Barrier: There is a layer of protection around the brain that makes it harder for certain medications to get to the brain. If you need them to get there you have to use a higher dose.

Yes, sort of.....: Your frequent hand washing will help prevent you from spreading e. Coli to others. Your risk of contracting e. Coli, however, is dependent on the foods you consume and the hygiene of those who prepared your food.

I and my child wash our hands regularly, is there anything else I can do to prevent pinworm?

Break the life cycle: The life cycle of a pinworm infection is as follows: the pinworm comes out at night and lays eggs around the anus. This causes itching, causing us to scratch and get the eggs under our fingernails. We ingest the eggs (by biting our nails, sucking our fingers, eating, etc.) and the eggs hatch in our intestines and start the cycle again. Washing, not touching our mouth and not itching prevents this.

Thick nasal mucus - I have to blow my nose very hard to get the plug feeling out, it is commonly very thick, white (not clear). Should I be concern?

Thick nasal mucus: Thick nasal mucus can be related to sinusitis, but not necessarily. If you have chronic allergies or recurrent infections you should consult a doctor who can identify if there is an opportunity to improve nasal inflammation with sprays or treat infection with antibiotics. You may benefit from good nasal hygiene as well which involves using salt water rinses to clear mucus and allergens.
