A member asked:

Should a bee sting still hurt two days later?

It happens sometimes: For a bug bite, people often use OTC Claritin, Zyrtec, or diphenhydramine to block histamine, which causes itching. Putting hydrocortisone cream 2-3 times a day on the bite for 4-5 days will help. For more itch or pain relief, some people use an anti-itch gel such as Itch-X on the bite. Itch-X has anesthetic to numb the area. If the bite grows, oozes, or increasingly painful, a doctor can examine.

Yes: The pain from bee & wasp stings often resolves within 24 to 72 hours. However, the pain usually begins to lessen within a few hours.
