Just finished 7 day course augmentin for otitis media.this was 2nd antibiotic tried-ive had the infection 7 weeks.felt no improvement until day 5/6 but do now.still have some symptoms-fatigue,blocked ear and v.minor pain. do i need a longer course?

Hard to say: Many of the associated symptoms of this set of problems will persist long after all bacteria are killed by the meds. Clearance of symptoms may take a week or more after the antibiotic is finished.
