Not enough: For a meaningful answer. Nasal discharge may reflect a sinus problem. If your question follows a previous question, they are not connected, so you will have to include the core of the previous question as well.

A 38-year-old member asked:

Should I be concerned if I have green vaginal discharge?

Dr. Pam Yoder
Specializes in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
Yes: Women know their bodies and might be familiar with many types of vaginal discharge. However, an unusual one or a new one should be evaluated by a professional. If yellowish green, it could be trichomonas, which an obgyn provider should diagnose and treat. If the woman is pregnant and the discharge is darker green, it could be meconium-stained amniotic fluid, and that could become an OB emergency.
A 27-year-old member asked:

Should I speak to a doctor about odd smelling vaginal discharge?

Dr. Jeff Livingston

Yes: Foul smelling discharge needs to be evaluated. The most common cause is a nonsexually transmitted overgrowth of bacteria called bacterial vaginosis. Testing for other sexually transmitted disease may need to be done as well.

Is it common for sinus congestion to cause a decrease in appetite?

First, diagnosis: Sinus congestion is not as easy to diagnose by the patient as one might think. You may really have nasal congestion. And most causes of nasal congestion are viral infections. Therefore, it is very likely that the overall symptoms of a viral infection may lead to a decrease in appetite. The course of these infections is 7-10 days. If longer, consult you physician.

A member asked:

I am suspecting I might be pregnant but I am having no discharge and I am usually very heavy with discharge... Is pregnancy a possibility ?

1 doctor answer4 doctors weighed in
Dr. Robert Kwok
Pediatrics 33 years experience
Always a possibility: Pregnancy is always a possibility in a woman in her fertile years. Simple urine pregnancy tests are available at any drugstore. A woman can also go to a primary care doctor or an ob-gyn doctor for testing. If the test is positive, the woman needs to set up routine appointments with the doctor that will be providing her prenatal care. If the test is negative, the doctor can look for other problems.
