No context: Anticoagulants are considered to be high risk meds through their nature of making patients bleed. They are use to treat conditions, such as clots, but also for prophylaxis in similar or different conditions. The patient’ s history, the condition being treated, concomitant meds and most important exact goals for treatment will have to be factored in determining the benefit/risk ratio.
