Have infection in navel. bad odor and pus. no swelling, heat, or pain though. is there anything i can do that doesn't involve going to the doctor?

Navel infection: If there is rapidly spreading redness you would need to see a physician to get started on systemic antibiotics. Otherwise clean with soap and water, pat dry and apply an antibacterial ointment like bacitracin. Avoid tight fitting garments. Protect area with gauze and use paper tape. Do this daily until odor and pus resolves. If they persist, see MD.
