Common: Young kids in a day care setting often get 5-7 upper respiratory tract infections/yr. The frequency declines after they have been attending for some time but this is common. Some benefit from exam & treatment while many self heal with simple supportive care.

Conjunctivitis: Your child's pediatrician may diagnose her with conjunctivitis and prescribe antibiotic eye drops. The toys, towels and sheets should be kept clean, avoid contact with other children in school until improved. Good hand washing and rinsing nasal passages with saline, and eyes with ocular saline may also relieve symptoms.
