I was taking 20 mg of prozac for 7 mos i stopped it a month ago but i am going back on will i have to go thru side effects and wait 4 to 6 weeks for it to work again?

Prozac: If you can contact your original treating physician it would help if he/she could advise you. I suspect he/she will want to see you first,however. I wouldn't recommend starting anew with 20 mgs and would go through the whole process of starting with 10 and working up to the 20 mg dose gradually as you did before.
