No: All medications have a potential to cause side efects- but the possibility of having these side effects varies by the individual. However, some side effects are commom and well known. Both of these antidepressants fo have well known side effects but individual tolerance varies- which particular side effect concerns you?

Different meds: Agree with Dr. Anand. Wellbutrin is often effective for atypical depressive symptoms whereas Prozac tends to address typical depression. A physician doesn't have to guess on which they chose. They work on different neurotransmitters. Both have potential for side effects.
