Does having a grandma who got parkinsons in old age raise my risk, or is risk only raised from mom or dad?neither have it.i am 38 amd my index finger joint has twiched randomly for like 4 mos off and on.is my risk great or does this not seem like it?

Parkinsons: Majority cases of Parkinson disease are isolated/sporadic. 20-25% patients may have atleast one first degree relative with PD. So your risk may not be very high but you should still see your doctor as the symptoms are occurring repetitively.
