Safe place with love: A safe place with loving caretakers should do just fine. New babies breastfeed, sleep, breastfeed, sleep, etc... The breastfeeding Mom should be relaxed and happy, even though tired. The crib or bassinet should not have any crevices, strings, cords, slots, or whatnot that can trap or strangle a new baby. Average household noise is fine. Sick visitors need to stay away until the baby is much older.
